Position: Cook (NOC 6322)
Salary: $20.00 per hour, at least 40 hours per week. Overtime 1.5x if applicable
Term: Permanent, full-time
Location: 2038 Sheppard Ave East, North York, M2J 5B3
Start date: As soon as applicable, with legal work permit or applicable immigration status.
Benefit: paid vacation and sick leave as per provincial regulations
Duties:
s Prepare food and dishes according to orders and menus
s Maintain the hygiene and safety in kitchen and work area
s Design and update menu items and food portions
s Assist in determining prices for offline and online menus
s Record, manage and maintain inventory of food materials and supplies
s Help select suppliers by determining the quality of food materials and estimate costs
s Assist in training and scheduling new kitchen staff
s Jointly supervise the proper functioning of kitchen staff and routine

Requirement:
s College diploma in a relevant program required
s At least two years of relevant experience in a restaurant setting required
s Experience with oriental cuisine is an asset

s Oversee the daily business operations of the restaurant
s Design and update menu items and combos and adjust prices
s Determine and implement operational procedures to ensure health and safety regulations are followed
s Manage schedules and monitor staff performance
s Manage inventory of food materials, beverages and other supplies
s Record sales and expenses to track revenue
s Resolve customer and staff complaints
s Develop and maintain arrangements with suppliers
s Interview staff and determine the scope and content to be covered in staff trainings
Requirement:
s College diploma in hospitality or culinary management
s At least two years of relevant experience in a restaurant setting required
s Experience with oriental cuisine is an asset
